i was just thinking about the wt attack on education and wondered where they would be without it.. does anyone know how large the legal department is at bethel?
is it larger than the writing department?
service department?

My guess would be that having a sizable legal department to deal with problems is the next best thing to having 'The Helper', 'The Holy Spirit', which obviously WT doesn't have.

In par 11 a murderer/adulterer Bible character was referred to as the honorable King David. Yet the 2 nd most important personality in the entire universe; the one and only who spilled his life’s blood for us all was referred to as simply ‘Jesus’ 50 times, as ‘Jesus Christ’ 1 time, ‘the Son’ 14 times. Not once as the respected Lord Jesus Christ that he deserves.
By contrast, it is said that the apostle Paul, in his writings, always speaks of our Savior in a reverent manner, incorporating the word ‘Lord’ in most of his references to Jesus Christ.

they popped it in right away and this is what happens:.

I'll give it a shot: In order to re-capture the attention of the JW teenage youth up thru the mid-twenty JW crowd me envisions that WT will come up with a team of superheros much like the Avengers and will call them ............. "New Earths' Mightiest Heros" made up of the GB. This comic based DVD will be released at the 2013 DC. Me thinks!

The WTBTS is loosing so many of the youth that they are resorting to using cartoon figures.
The Society has been loosing soo much credibility over the years that now they want to get serious with comic strip caricatures!
The Good News of God's Kingdom with cartoons. Oh I see a big increase coming. Yah, right!

Speculate! Did I just see the word ‘speculate’ used in this WT study article?
Par 13 begins: ‘What will help us if we find ourselves starting to speculate about so-called missed opportunities?’
The WTS has a lot of nerve cautioning the rank and file against speculating about the past when its’ been the Society’s own sinful bad habit of speculating about the future that has caused the flock to miss out on so many opportunities in life.
iclone’s comment about the May 22, 1969 Awake regarding higher education is a good example: The Society speculated back then that a specialized career through a college education would not do any good cause in a few years this system would be gone. And that was 43 years ago! WOW! Did the Society miss the mark on that one or what?

When you stop and think about it, there really are quite a bit of negative and gloomy thoughts that come up about the past in the life of the average JW. Think of all the disfellowshipping announcements from the platform one has heard over the years. How many people have you seen come and go thru the disciplinary process of the organization and not return? Tears! I’ve seen my share of tears on the faces of many a JW over the years and these aren't tears of joy. And then think of all the broken or failed WT promises. Think of all the do and don’t directives you’ve been given over the years. Talk about Abuse! And then you look at your ‘worldly‘ neighbor and see how much happier he is than you. You think-what a waste!!
Any wonder the Society would rather we “not look at the things behind?”

I thought there was something odd about the picture that appears on page 28 and then it dawned on me that there are only two elders instead of three dealing with a not so agreeable publisher. Looks like WT wants to downplay how it really handles Judicial Committees. Two elders gives it a much softer, more innocent appearance to the public as opposed to showing 3 suits ganging up on a lowly publisher who may be in need of counsel. Is this illustration not a blatant lie by the Society of what really goes on behind closed doors which often results in a disfellowshipping?
